This recent IELTS exam- topics & questions post is based on my interview with two of my students who have recently appeared in IELTS Academic Test in July 2019 and August 2019 and shared their personal experiences with me. They’ve shared the latest topics and questions which they remembered after attending the exam. I hope these examples help you with your personal IELTS prep.

What can be done to improve it?
Part 2:
Describe a situation when your transport (by a bus or car) broke done on the way.
You should say:
- when it happened
- where you were going and who accompanied you
- how long it took to fix the vehicle
- and explain how you felt about that situation
Part 3:
- How do most people travel long distances in your country?
- Did you witness any major changes in the use of transport in your country over the last few decades?
- Has there been any big improvement in transport in your country lately?

Describe a singer or a band that you like most.
You should say:
- How do you know about him/her or the band?
- How often do you listen?
- How do you listen?
- and explain how you feel when you listen to him/her or the band?
Part 3:
- Do you think singers should have some ethics to perform or to sing?
- Do you sing songs sometimes?
- Have you ever dreamt or planned to become a singer?
- Is singing a common profession in your country?
- What types of songs do people mostly listen to in your country?
- What about concerts or music festivals? Are they common?
- Do you think that there have been some major changes in people’s attitude towards listening to music?
- Is it a positive or negative trend?
- Do you think music can be used to highlight a country?

What do you feel when public places get crowded?
Do you think public places should maintain some restrictions?
- The examiner asked some more questions but the examinee couldn’t remember.
Part 2:
Describe a good news that saw in newspaper or Television
You should say:
- what the new was about.
- when you heard about it.
- how you felt hearing the news.
- and explain the news in brief.
Part 3:
- Do you usually read newspaper? Why?
- How can schools motivate students to read newspaper?
- Do you watch news on television or newspaper? Which one is more comfortable for you?
- Do you think the way news are published will be changed in future?
- Do you think online news are reliable?
- What’s the impact of rumours in society that spread from fake news?
